When Dangal’s poster was released, we couldn’t contain our excitement level. From the poster and the text embedded on it, we could easily understand that Dangal is going to be a female-centric movie. And now that the trailer is released, we realize that we were right all along!
Aamir Khan is back with a bang, and this time, he has brought alive a true story on our screens. It is inspired by the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat who taught wrestling to his two daughters—Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Geeta Phogat won a gold medal in Commonwealth games 2010 and became the first Indian woman wrestler to achieve this feat. Babita Kumari won a silver medal in the very same game. Here are the reasons we think Dangal is going to be a BLOCKBUSTER:
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom have already proved how well biographical dramas do in our country. All of us crave for a ‘rags-to-riches’ kind of a story. Not only such movies make us salute those who work hard for their dreams, but they give us the necessary motivation to achieve our goals as well. It is amazing how powerful a story can be. They can inspire millions of other people to give up their comfort zone and achieve their goals in full force. And every man who has achieved something big with sheer dedication and hard work deserves his story to be told on the silver screen.
Aamir Khan is Back on screen!
To celebrate this story of struggle and triumph, Aamir Khan started working on the movie. It is after two years that Mr. Perfectionist is coming back, as his last movie, PK, was released in the year 2014. We are always excited for Aamir Khan’s movies because not only he performs every role with extreme perfection, but almost all his stories have got amazing storylines. Despite being a commercial actor, he gives strong competition to offbeat cinema. Aamir Khan’s fans (We are one of them!) are proud creatures who feel happy each time Aamir Khan offers a memorable story to the Indian cinema. Aamir Khan is playing the role of a supporting father in Dangal, and we are already adoring his role.
Heavy on Content
“Content is the king.” Even though some masala movies manage to do well on the box office, but at the end of the day, it’s always the content which wins. Dangal seems highly heavy on content with no-bullshit scenario. A song in Daler Mehandi’s strong voice boomed across the entire trailer, and it gave the much needed feel to the trailer. So, we are assuming that there will be no infamous dancing-around-the-trees, and rather, the songs will be there just to guide the story and give the necessary emotions to the already well-written movie.
We hope that Aamir Khan’s Dangal will break all the records and give more empowerment to the women in the men’s world.
