Rogers Communications Inc. and Sprint Corp. say they will offer a wireless service next year to provide Canadians with high speed Internet access in their vehicles.
The service will be available from auto manufacturers which deploy Sprint Velocity in Canada and it will leverage Rogers wireless networks to connected vehicles on the road.
Canadians with vehicles that use Sprint Velocity will have access to customized content, such as news, sports scores, weather alerts, driving directions and vehicle diagnostics via an in dash touch screen.
Sprint Velocity also provides connectivity for mobile devices in the car including smartphones and tablets.
