Must-Watch Bollywood Movies that failed at Box Office

Good Bollywood movies that couldn’t earn well.

Bollywood is like a library of movies. You can find good as well as bad movies here. There’s a grand catalogue to choose movies of your favorite genre. But there is that one shelf which is shoved away in the corner. It carries movies which are different from the rest. Not many people are interested in leaving the popular shelves and exploring anything beyond ordinary. But these movies are the true gems. Bollywood site is presenting a list of one of the best movies produced in Bollywood that couldn’t earn well on box office.

1. Dil Se

Dil Se is one of the best movies of Shahrukh Khan. Both the lead actors, Shahrukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, nailed their role with ease. This Maniratnam’s movie stays rooted to realism, darkness and passion. Dil Se is based on the description of seven shades of love in Ancient Arabic literature. A.R. Rahman’s music is like cherry on the top of cake. The direction of the locations transports you to Kerala, Delhi and Leh effectively. Despite being critically acclaimed, Dil Se couldn’t earn much on box office.  But it still holds a special place in the hearts of viewers.

2. Nayak: The Real Hero

How many of us wish for politicians like Shivaji Rao to run our country? Nayak is like a mirror which has showed the bad aspects of our country. Every time an election happens, the movie becomes a heated topic, as we only wish to elect someone as daring and valorous as Anil Kapoor’s character. Despite an amazing storyline and realistic portrayal of political corruption, Nayak couldn’t earn well on box office. But through frequent telecasts on TV channels, it has gained a cult following among the viewers.

3. Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year

Role of Harpreet Singh Bedi is unarguably one of the best roles played by Ranbir Kapoor. He showcased his acting skills through this movie during his initial years in Bollywood. After watching the movie, critics and viewers were sure that Ranbir Kapoor is here to stay. But the movie couldn’t do a good business on Box office. Ranbir Kapoor received many awards for his role later. Eventually, the movie became known among the audience.

4. Lakshya

Lakshya is one of the best movies based on Indo-Pak war. Its realistic portrayal of army life and war won our heart. Hrithik Roshan played the role of ‘Karan Shergill’, a guy who has got no aim in life but eventually finds his calling in army. Lakshya certainly reminds us of the sacrifices that our soldiers have made for our country.

5. Madras Café

Madras Café is a highly underrated movie. It has won a National Award for Best Audiography, but is still unknown to many Bollywood lovers. One of the finest movies of John Abraham, Madras Café is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good political thriller spy movie.
