The biggest Bollywood news that’s doing rounds right now is that of Karan Johar becoming a father of two twins. Yes. You read that right.
Karan Johar, through surrogacy is now a father two twins, one boy and one girl.
Karan has decided to name the girl Roohi, which is a rearrangement of his mother’s name Hiroo. And he has named the son Yash after his late father.
Karan recently gave a statement saying ‘“I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.”
“It was an emotional yet well thought out decision which I have taken after considering all the responsibilities and duties that come with being a parent.”
“In order to arrive at this decision, I have prepared myself mentally, physically, emotionally and logistically to ensure that my children get all the unconditional love, care and attention from me and mine.
“I have submitted to the fact that my children are my world and priority.”
Karan had expressed his desire to become a father one day in his book ‘An Unsuitable Boy’.
Karan, who is known to be super busy and mostly keeps travelling for work, said that now his work, travelling and social commitments will now have to take a back seat as he is going to be a fully committed parent.
He also said that his mother, Hiroo Johar will be an integral part in the upbringing of his children Yash and Roohi.
Karan also expressed his deep felt gratitude for the surrogate who “fulfilled my lifelong dream and provided a warm, loving and nurturing environment to my children before bringing them into this world.”
The babies were born in the month of February in Andheri’s Masrani Hosiptal, the same hospital were Shahrukh Khan’s son Abram was born.
