Travelling is universally liked, as you can just pack your bags, leave behind your worries and travel to faraway lands. There is thrill and freedom in escaping your mundane life. Bollywood has incorporated travelling in many of their movies which resulted in wonderful locations and providing wholesome entertainment to the viewers. Let’s take a look at the Bollywood movies that will inspire you to shut down your computers and travel.

1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

How many of you have dreamed of travelling to Spain? Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara takes you to every nook and corner of Spain. It makes you dance, sing and feel the rush skydiving and underwater diving. As Hrithik Roshan falls in love and savour his surroundings in “Khwaabon Ke Parinde”, you also feel the freedom of sitting inside a car and driving on the road. It is certainly one of the best road-trip movies of Bollywood.


2. Dil Chahta Hai

Three friends and Goa. It’s the definition of fun. Dil Chahta Hai is one of the earliest movies to touch the heart of youth. Every friend circle plans of going to Goa at least once in life. The carefree attitude of the three leads: Aamir, Saif and Akshay—inspires us to gather our friends and go on a trip with the songs of Dil Chahta Hai booming inside the car.


3. Highway

If there is one movie which has captured the essence of travelling and freedom, it’s Highway. As the movie takes you to the untouched places like Sangla Valley, Aru valley and Pahalgam, you fall in love with India all over again. Veera finds freedom in her bondage because of the peaceful places around her, and somehow, we manage to attain the same freedom simply by looking at the amazing direction of Imtiaz Ali.


4. Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

You’d lying if you said that you didn’t plan a trip to Manali after watching YJHD. It is the perfect movie for youngsters, as it captures their adventurous side.  It would be amazing to trek on the snow-cladded Mountains, and enjoy screaming at the top of a mountain while falling in love—just like Bunny and Naina.


5. Queen

You don’t always need friends or a companion to travel. ‘Queen’ proves it. When her Fiancé dumps her, Rani goes on an adventure in Paris—the city of love. She learns to make friends, step out of her comfort zone and finally understands that she doesn’t need anybody to make her happy. Queen has captured Paris in all its glory, and makes our feet tingle to travel.


6. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Shot in various places of Kashmir like Sonmarg, Aru, Chandanwadi, Bajrangi Bhaijaan reminds us why Kashmir is considered to be Heaven on Earth. Indian Kashmir is picturized as Pakistan Kashmir in the movie.  As Bajrangi vows to take Munni back to Pakistan, he takes us along on a journey. The song ‘Kuchh toh bata Zindagi’ plays in the background while they are on the journey, and we are left in a trance.
