Some couples are so good together on silver screen that we often wonder why they are not together in real life. Some of them share an immensely passionate and intense chemistry while others have more subtle aura around them. Nonetheless, they get us addicted to their story and we keep rooting for them till the end of the movie. That’s why some of these couples make a special place in our heart. While not many love stories were seen on the silver screen this year, but a few couples have still managed to woo us. Here is a list of the best on-screen couples of the year 2016.
Alia Bhatt – Siddharth Malhotra
Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra worked in Kapoor and Sons. They were downright adorable together. There are rumours related to their on and off relationship in real life. The complexity of their relationship enhanced their chemistry on the silver screen. Siddharth’s serious persona might seem contrasting to Alia’s bubbly personality, but they mash well together. We hope to see them together in more movies, as their chemistry has been sizzling since the Student of the Year days.
Katrina Kaif – Aditya Roy Kapur
Fitoor might have failed to work well on the Box Office, but this couple set the screen on fire. Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur’s flaming chemistry is visible throughout the movie. Since they are good friends in real life, they shared very easy vibes in the movie. They were downright hot in the dance sequences. There were some flaws in the movie, but this pair was flawless. We really hope that directors would cast them in more movies. It’s always a pleasing experience to see two gorgeous actors working together.
Kareena Kapoor – Diljit Dosanjh
Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh shared very subtle chemistry with each other. They didn’t have any typical dance sequence together neither did the hero sang any song to woo the heroine. But we still wanted them to escape the trap of drugs and live a simple life together. They were just so cute together! In fact, this couple was quite different from other on-screen couples, as we had the first turbaned Sikh playing the lead role in a Bollywood movie. Kareena Kapoor’s punjabi looks complimented Diljit Dosanjh quite well. But we don’t know if we’d get to see this quirky couple again on the silver screen.
Disha Patani – Sushant Singh Rajput
Disha Patani’s debut in M.S. Dhoni made her an instant hit. Her sweet chemistry with Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the highlights of the movie. It certainly enhanced the emotional impact of the romantic songs.
Aishwarya Rai – Ranbir Kapoor
Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor dared to step out of the industrial norms. Despite the fact that they have a difference of 9 years, no one felt awkward while seeing Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor romancing. In fact, at some point, we were rooting for them to end up together! Their chemistry was highly infectious and one of the best parts of the movie.
