After lots of controversies, threats and hullabaloo, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has finally released in theatres all across the world. It is a good news for the entire team which was involved in the production of movie since lots of months. People are not deterred by the threats of MNS, and they are packing the theatres to watch the movie of their favourite actors. If you are also looking forward to watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, read this review and then decide.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is an amalgam of human emotions, friendship, love and loss. If you want to feel all these emotions all over again, you can watch the movie this weekend. As it was stated in the trailer, the movie ventures into the territory of unrequited love and does it delicately. It is a story of Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Ayan, and the way he encounters two different relationships.
Ranbir Kapoor is back with a bang. After a string of failed movies, Ranbir Kapoor has finally chosen a script which complements his acting skills. Even though the entire story revolves around him, he doesn’t let our attention falter. Anushka Sharma is the source of energy in the movie. Her big smile, shiny eyes and flawless acting skills raise the energy levels of the movie. Aishwarya Rai is the epitome of grace in the movie. She is a poetess, and speaks poetry so elegantly that you’d feel like you have been transported to a different world altogether!
Karan Johar has worn the cap of ‘director’ again, and we are just mesmerized by each shot and location. There is no doubt that Karan Johar is an excellent director, and the way he has executed each and every scene is just gorgeous. We always have heightened expectations from him after his movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho and My Name Is Khan. And he manages to remind us why we have always loved him.
But it doesn’t mean that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil doesn’t have flaws and imperfections. The story is quite complicated, and you might feel like it tends to get mushy at times. You will find yourself questioning the motives and sensibility of Ayan a thousand times in the movie. We wish that Aishwarya Rai’s character had a little more depth. And finally, the cameo of Fawad Khan is way too short. His relationship with Anushka Sharma starts with a promising twist but dissolves into nothingness within a short period of time.
Overall, the movie is quite entertaining for whosoever is looking for a hardcore romance. And if you have got your heart broken, it’s even better. You might relate to Ayan’s struggle in letting go of the people not meant for him.
Watch the movie for Ranbir Kapoor’s acting, Anushka Sharma’s flawlessness, Aishwarya Rai’s elegance and Karan Johar.
